Steamboat Spring Winter Carnival -This Week!

Aptly timed, Steamboat Springs 101st Winter Carnival is coinciding with the opening of the Olympic Games in Sochi Russia. Our little community is sending 15 athletes to compete in the games and this weekend promises a celebration like no other! The festivities begin on Wednesday and ends on Sunday. Mainstreet will be closed on Saturday and Sunday mornings with parades, ski-joring, marching band on skis and tons more! The nighttime extravaganza on Saturday night at Howelsen Hill is a crowd pleaser with “The Lighted Man” and fireworks like you’ve never seen before! More details via The Steamboat Pilot & Today on all of the activities.

On top of that, snow is predicted all week long!
