The latest Routt County real estate numbers from Stan Urban at Land Title are in for February. Highlights from his report include: “Sales were up in February compared to last year. We had $30.7 million in gross volume with 94 transactions. Month to month , February was up 37% in gross dollar volume and up 36% in transactions. On YTD we are up 0.12% in gross dollar volume and up 44% in transactions. Intervals/time shares encompassed 30 closing with $2.7 million in gross dollar volume. See the market analysis.”
The Steamboat Pilot & Today also reports from these statistics that the low end of the market remains active:
Routt County homebuyers have continued to find properties they can purchase for less than $200,000 in the first two months of 2013.
Statistics prepared by Land Title Guarantee Co. show 15 transactions for prices below $200,000 bringing the year-to-date total to 25 homes at that price point.
In all of 2012, 179 homes sold for less than $200,000, representing 26 percent of all residential transactions. Only the price range from $300,000 to $500,000 was more active with 197 sales accounting for 29 percent of volume.
Pending sales are maintaining a healthy pace at around 150.
